After 6 years of pig keeping I am sad to say Hellfire Pigs is no more!
Thanks to all the great people I have met during my time keeping these great animals. Good people seem to gravitate toward freerange pigs! There are of course some mental, bigoted, up their own arse exceptions, but these in themselves provide entertainment and our lives can only be enriched by these unbelievably annoying but at the same time interesting gobshites.
To the good people... particularly... Tim my landlord, whose patience seems to know no bounds. Martin and Noreen from Woodside Farm and their brood of very large children(not you Hannah), thanks for all the help and advice, stories and hospitality.
To all my customers, particularly Hermione, Niall C, Gordan O', Michelle McG, Anne Kennedy and many others, thanks for taking the the time and making the effort to source good pork locally.
So, my recommendation for freerange pork and bacon now that the producer of the best quality pork on the east coast has retired...I can only vouch for one.. Woodside Farm . Martin and Noreens pedigree free range pigs produce the very best quality pork and bacon, and in my opinion THE BEST sausages you can get at a fair price. Their product does exactly what it says on the tin.
Don't be fooled by those who will charge you top money on foot of claims they cant prove....
Time to get back to a bit of fishing!!
